David Meek, 57, of 7 Almond St., was arrested May 12 by Winchester Police on a warrant for second-degree sexual abuse.

According to court documents, Meek allegedly touched a 9-year-old girl’s “private” parts over her clothes in a church sanctuary March 30. The church was not identified.

Meek is being held in the Clark County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond, though he could be released by posting $2,500.

The charge is a misdemeanor with a maximum 12-month sentence upon conviction. The trial is scheduled in Clark District Court.
